Last season Nev and I decided to go sledding up on Sproatt Mountain just outside of Whistler and let me tell you it was one of the funest days sledding/snowboarding that year.
It was a party cloudy day and a week after a huge dump and 20cm over night so the snow was fresh.

When we arrived and took our sleds off our trucks we where very egar to get out on the mountain and do some snowboarding. About half the way up trail before the alpine I realized I forgot to bring my jacket, d’oh! Luckily enough it was really mild temperature all day and I didn’t once feel like I needed my jacket.

Once Nev and I arrived at the lake just before the Alpine of Sproat we where breaking trail threw 20cm which was pretty mellow and fun to do a lot easier than breaking trail 10 days prior when we had 50-60cm over night.

When we broke into the alpine Nev and I both scoped out the mountain to find where we wanted to ride first. We spotted a nice peak where Nev and I doubled up on my sled to the top of the peak where we both strapped in and shredded some deep pow all the way down.

It was such a fun day taking endless fresh powder turns. Eventually we where accompanied by some other sledders who started hitting a good 50foot+ jump they had built. Around that time I pulled out the camera and shot some photo’s of Nev having some fun soul slashes and spinning a few nice step downs.

We found a really fun step down that Nev hit up a few times and then I passed him the camera and got a cool shot of my slashing down a big open face. So much fun, good times, good times.
