Alta Lake

by Nick Vail on January 28, 2009

So over the past while I have been going back into the archives of the past 6 months to see what photos are still in limbo. I stumbled upon a few images I shot early on in the summer.

As we started getting some beautiful weather In Whistler I decided I should dust off the camera and go out and enjoy the sun. So I decided to go down to Alta Lake, rent a kayak and take my trusty G9 out for a test drive. I went down to a nice little beach where I was able to rent a kayak for an hour and journey out into the waters.

It was pretty windy day so It wasn’t easy sailing, although I was lucky enough that one of the ladies that works there was able to point me in the right direction.

I cruised across the lake in a hurry, with my Canon G9 locked in my sturdy Pelican 1010 case with a huge smile on my face while enjoying the breeze of the warm afternoon.

It was fun kayaking around into all the little area’s around the lake and I also managed to snap a few nice shots that will help me capture and remember the essence of those beautiful summer days. I couldn’t ask for much more.
